Advance your career and give back to the communication profession at #IABC18

Earn or maintain certification and give back to the communication field while networking with communicators from around the world at the 2018 IABC World Conference.

In addition to opportunities to network and learn among your communication peers, attending the World Conference, pre-conference events and the Unconference off-site events can help you meet eligibility requirements for certification programs offered by the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC) as well as opportunities to participate in that support the IABC Foundation.

The World Conference is an experience like no other—it’s a time where communication professionals from all around the world come together to network, learn and strategize with one another. This four-day event takes place in Montréal this year, 3–6 June.

Attending the World Conference, pre-conference events and the Unconference off-site events can help applicants earn training hours for Communication Management Professional (CMP) and Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) as well as professional development points for those who are already CMP and/or SCMP certified. Both certification programs (CMP and SCMP) are designed to help business communication professionals advance their careers, whether by way of applying for promotions or seeking new opportunities.

The Gift of Communication is one of the IABC Foundation’s four pillars as well as a sold-out pre-conference event at the World Conference. The Gift of Communication brings certified and accredited communication professionals from around the world to join forces and help local nonprofits with their most pressing communication challenges. The registered volunteers who will be generously offering pro bono exemplify the expertise many nonprofits need to help them take their communication efforts to the next level.

The IABC Foundation focuses on moving the communication profession forward through research and education. Its mission is to generate resources to fund and support strategic initiatives in line with IABC’s purpose and to demonstrate the power of professional communication as a force for good in business and society.
